Joshua Reinstein is a director, editor, writer and photographer with over 10 years of experience in film and television. His body of work ranges from documentaries, narrative short films, music videos, and videos for nonprofit organizations, reflecting a commitment to exploring the possibilities of narrative storytelling. Recently, Joshua contributed to THE MYST DOCUMENTARY (2025) as an editor / research assistant, working closely with award winning director Philip Shane on revealing the history of the groundbreaking video game MYST. In addition, Joshua has edited video content for the Alzheimer's Association, the Citiview Connections Clubhouse, and the Coalition of Asian Pacific Americans, which he has also contributed to as a social media manager.
After majoring in Film and Television production at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Joshua interned at WHYY as a video editor and producer’s assistant, where he worked on TV productions including retrospectives on the Shofuso Japanese Garden for the TV show Movers and Makers and Skate the Foundry for the TV show You Oughta Know.
Outside of video production, Joshua has volunteered for various organizations including radio station 88.5 WXPN, Philadelphian production studio PhillyCAM, the American Cancer Society, DOC NYC and the Philadelphia Asian Film Festival as a photographer, production assistant and social media creator. In addition, Joshua has performed as a drummer/percussionist in several bands including AVIATION, co-written music for other songwriters, and worked on musicals and stage productions in both New York City and Philadelphia. He continues his interest in the creative arts through writing poetry and short stories. Eternally curious and always eager to try something new, Joshua continues to seek out unique and interesting ideas for projects in the future that excite him.
